Working Together for Coquitlam Watershed and Kwikwetlam Sockeye

The Kwikwetlam Salmon Restoration Program, initiated in 2003, involves partnership between Metro Vancouver, Kwikwetlam First Nation, and BC Hydro to enhance conditions of the Coquitlam River Watershed and the resident sockeye salmon. 

The Program's objectives are to:

• restore and enhance sockeye salmon runs;
• deliver clean and safe drinking water; and,
• maintain the reservoir's function as a source of clean, renewable hydro-electric power.
