ARTICLE by Core Committee member published in Tri City News

An article written by Craig Orr, member of the Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable Core Committee and conservation advisor, was recently published in the Tri City News, on Friday, October 14, 2016. The article discusses "The Healthy Trinity" and the interconnectedness of watershed, human, and salmon health. Working towards a healthy watershed not only means promoting clean water, green spaces, sustainable development and resource management, and protecting salmon habitat -- it also means promoting human health and well-being. The Watershed Plan created by the Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable recognizes that watershed, human, and salmon health are inseperable and works towards protecting that which provides key "services" -- ecological, spiritual, and economical - in the watershed.
