The proposed plan ensures that the 30-metre streamside protection area either side of the river is protected, plus land beyond. If the proposal is approved, these areas would ultimately be dedicated as City park, with the intention for them to remain in their natural state. Nature trail connections are proposed for both sides of the river, subject to further City and environmental review.
Infinity Properties Ltd. is holding an open house on Tuesday, February 19th, 5 – 7 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room at Nestor Elementary, 1266 Nestor Street, Coquitlam to present their proposal to the public. Following the open house and further review by City Staff, the application would go to Council for consideration. As part of the rezoning, a formal public hearing will be held should the application receive 1st Reading at Council.
