Board of Directors
The Board of Directors provides supervision and management of the Society, its affairs, staff and contractors, and property and finances. The Board does so in accordance with the Society Bylaws. Directors serve in a volunteer capacity and are elected by the Society Membership. Council Representatives from the City of Coquitlam, City of Port Coquitlam, and the Kwikwetlem First Nation may be appointed by their councils to serve on the CRWS Board.
Bonnie Razzaghi
Bonnie has an Environmental Engineering background. She has been an active volunteer with the Coquitlam River Watershed Roundtable since 2013. She has also served six years on the Sustainability and Environmental Advisory Committee of the City of Coquitlam since 2019. Bonnie has facilitated multicultural discussions and research and brings strong knowledge of science and conservation, project management, and communications.
Glynis Karpinsky
Glynis is a retired nurse and health care instructor. She also has current board experience as Vice President of the Dogwood Garden Club and Club Representative for Communities in Bloom. She has Volunteer Coordination experience, Human Resource Management Experience and Project Management Experience.

Margaret Birch
Margaret has been deeply Involved with Roundtable since 2007.
She has provided volunteer and Coordination support to Roundtable since 2022, following her retirement as
Environmental Services Coordinator with City of Coquitlam from 2007-2020.
She was Principal with
Birchland Heights Enterprises Environmental Consultancy from 1994-2007, and has experience with project
budgeting, grant writing, knowledge of bylaws and environmental legislation.
Marion Lochhead
Marion has a Financial background and property tax law. She is a current member of Coquitlam Economic Development Advisory Board and has worked Extensively involved in Tri-Cities Community.
Cllr. Matt Djonlic
Born and raised in the Tri-Cities, Matt has lived in Coquitlam
for the last sixteen years, graduating from Terry Fox Secondary and then Simon Fraser University. Matt comes
from a family of Croatian immigrants on his dad’s side and is a status citizen of the Métis Nation through
his mom. Currently he lives in the Town Centre neighbourhood with his partner Natalie.
Matt has worked in the Provincial Government in areas of housing, mental health, and finance.
His involvement in the community includes:
– Eight years as a Coquitlam Public Library Board trustee
– Member of the Evergreen Line Public Art Task Force
– Volunteer with the SHARE Food Bank
– Member of the Riverview Horticultural Centre Society
– Volunteer with Coquitlam Legion
– Member of the Cultural Services Advisory Committee

Sonya Knechtel
Sonya is a corporate paralegal Corporate Paralegal with extensive knowledge of the Societies Act. She has experience with record-keeping, policy and procedure implementation, training and development of others, and values a healthy environment and watershed.
