Once again, our amazing Roundtable volunteers helped us celebrate another wonderful event in our Coquitlam River watershed! Sizdah-Be-Dar/ Persian Nature day, on March 31st took place on a lovely Sunday, and we had the opportunity to meet a new audience: Persian Community. An estimated 3,000 people enjoyed the event, and we had a great time having fruitful and educational discussions about Invasive Species and Water Conservation with enthusiastic visitors.
Special thanks to Tricities Iraninan Mini Soccer for organizing the event and to our awesome supporting funding project partners, Vancity, Metro Vancouver, Fisheries & Oceans Canada and the Real Estate Foundation of BC to help the Roundtable participate at this event!
The Roundtable provides awareness for watershed residents to learn about the impacts of invasive species and the overuse of water can have on watershed health and promotes actions residents can take to help manage them.
